[vc_row css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ok hi…I want to make a bunch of money on my Instagram but don’t know how? Well listen hard, and read closely. The answer is Instagram Influencer Marketing.

Instagram Influencer Marketing is becoming quite the hot topic for brands in their morning roundtable meetings. It is no longer about whether or not you should use influencers, it is now about HOW many and which kinds in order to promote your brand. The statistics are rather staggering at this point as to how many brands are using Instagram Influencer Marketing as their primary advertising channel.

How much can you make?

We will get to that specifically, but statistics show that Instagram Influencers average $100,000 in annual income.

There are really two SEPARATE ways to be an Instagram Influencer, and both of them can turn you a healthy profit. That is, of course, if you know what you are doing.

Let’s talk about the first one for this blog only just so we can wrap our brains around it.

You are a self-promoting “blogger” as they call it, and you are using YOUR OWN personal Instagram. If this is you, this would mean that you are using your own personal account and not creating a secondary “themed” account to promote on. Let me give you a really good and “knowable” example.

Khloe Kardashian…. heard of her? Ok, well if you haven’t then get out from under that rock that you are living under because, for all intents and purposes, she is a marketing genius and has truly mastered the craft of being a personal influencer.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”15542″ img_size=”400×400″ alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image” css=”.vc_custom_1506021930422{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;}”][vc_column_text]

Estimates say that Khloe makes an estimated $250,000 per sponsored Instagram post. What makes Khloe a “personal” influencer is that she is using herself as the promoter. Her personal Instagram, where she posts about family, friends and her own business, has turned into a HUGE portion of her income. Brands looking for personal influencers are willing to pay large dollar amounts for them because they see it as an easy return on investment for them. Especially if the person has correctly grown their accounts.

Here is where Khloe’s ability to grow and turn a large profit promoting OTHER people has also helped her leverage her Instagram to promote her OWN products in which she has equity in. Here is where her marketing genius plays a role. Developing her following, growing her account through adequate cross promotions and then branding herself as the seller has given her the ability to make an estimated 25% of her annual income off just her Instagram alone.

Instagram influencer marketing has become every brand’s primary advertising platform

70.7% of U.S. businesses are using Instagram in 2017, up from 48.8% in 2016. If Instagram Influencer Marketing is something you have been questioning whether or not to jump into, let me be the first to tell you that there is a huge opportunity here.

IMPORTANT: Being a personal influencer requires you to be consistent. That’s a scary word, isn’t it? It shouldn’t be. You can’t expect to be a personal influencer making a ton of money if people can’t go to your page and KNOW what they can expect. Your page must have a sense of direction and focus. If I go to Khloe Kardashian’s page I know what style of posts I’m going to see. She has a clear “theme” and people seek her page because she has “knowledge” in her fashion craft. You won’t see her posting about how she knows how to cook better then Bobby Flay because, let’s face it, she doesn’t. Nor is that her niche.

We will get into what being consistent and in focus will mean for you as a personal influencer but, for now, I want to keep your mind on this concept of “what” it means to be one.

Ok, so let’s break it down.

You want to be a profitable (aka making actual money – not getting free stuff) personal influencer? Here’s what you need:

  1. MINIMUM of 20k-100k followers.
    1. Nobody will pay to have you promote their product if they can’t generate a profit from doing so. See other related blogs on HOW to grow your page correctly.
  2. ACTIVE and engaging audience.
    1. The common rule of thumb is that you should be able to get 20% of your followers to either like or comment on your post.
  3. You must also be ACTIVE with your users
    1. You must be willing to engage and interact with your followers. Comment on their comments, respond appropriately and not robotically.
  4. Have a profile bio that speaks “I’m open to business opportunities”
    1. While you don’t want it to say exactly that you need to make sure that your profile has a “business” contact, or email contact where someone can get a hold of you. This will present yourself as being available for sponsored posts.
  5. Stay away from a profile bio that says, “mom, wife, kittens and blogging”

Being a “for fun” versus “professional” bio is really important if you want to be taken seriously as a professional influencer. See below:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”fadeIn”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”15548″ img_size=”400×400″ alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image” css=”.vc_custom_1506022335941{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;}”][vc_column_text]

Above: A GREAT example of a bio for a personal influencer. Instagram Influencer Marketing is all about a positive presence and being able to establish yourself as a credible, relatable, and approachable source for brands to use. They want to know they will get a return on investment! In order to obtain that yourself, you will need to start with the basics, and move on with other blog articles to be sure you know how to grow your page effectively.

YES, you can mess that up if you don’t know what you are doing!

WE will be sure to take you on a journey far deeper than what you see here for getting yourself ready to be a personal influencer.
