[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hashtagging is SO important! How many times have you heard that from people all over the social media marketing world that creating hashtags for your posts is critical to your success and ability to grow?
Well I am here to tell you that they are not wrong! BUT most of them leave the “secret” out of it and make you go on a man hunt to figure out which ones to use. They also DON’T tell you that every niche is completely different and should be looked at differently.
When it comes to creating a set of hashtags there are a few tricks that you should be aware of.
USES is everything!
When deciding on hashtags to use be very mindful of how many uses they have. Stay away from the ones that have millions of uses because your post will just get buried within a minute of two of posting.
Niche specific is IMPORTANT
When deciding what hashtags to use in your captions you should always think about your niche specifically BUT also think about WHO your target audience is. You are not just promoting to other business that are doing what your doing, you are trying to generate sales. Therefore, your hashtags should reflect your desire to reach those people who would be buying your services and or product.
Where you put them and HOW you do it
So many people royally mess up how they place their hashtags. They are NOT supposed to go in your first comment and they are NOT supposed to be squished into your actual caption. They key to a well-placed hashtag grouping is understanding the spacing. The way to get them to space properly is to ensure that you tab down while the cursor is touching the last letter of the last word. End the sentence with a period and then tab down while the cursor is touching it. If you do so correctly your caption will look like this:
