[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Do you constantly hear about how you can “schedule” your posts, or manage your posting schedule? This is an awesome concept; in fact, I write about what I use in another blog article Social Media Scheduling Tools: Buffer and why I use it, but I want to switch gears and focus more on the monitoring side, and how we can manage our engagement. Engagement is king, right?

You can schedule your posts all day long, but what are you doing AFTER you post?

Social media management tools have become quite the thing. I feel like I hear of a new one just about every day. BUT, lucky for you guys, I’m going to give you a sneak peak into one that is PERFECT for all my Instagram lovers out there. Be prepared to have your mind blown, because this thing is unlike anything I have ever seen, heard of, or used.

First and foremost, I want to break for a second and talk about the POWER that is engagement, what it means, and why it is absolutely CRUCIAL to your Instagram page’s success.

So what does engagement mean?

Engagement is simply defined as the following: “measures the public shares, likes and comments for an online business’ social media efforts”.

Why does engagement matter?

Engagement makes a HUGE difference when it comes to whether or not your page is going to be successful in the long run. Zero engagement even if you have thousands and thousands of followers will do you no good if you are trying to promote your brand, sell your services or product, or “flip” your page. Engagement tells anyone coming to your page that you are both active and relevant in your market. Nobody wants to come to a page that has 100k followers and see that your posts get 20 likes a day. What they will likely think is “This person bought followers, or has absolutely no idea what they are doing.”

Where does social media analytics come in?

Social Media analytics and the many platforms that you can use to view them are HUGE when you are running any kind of business. Whether you are like me and work directly with brands to help them grow their presence or are looking to sell an account, aka “flipping”, then analytics play a huge roll. Luckily for you, the social media management tool I’m about to disclose to you is HIGHLY helpful in the world of analytics and makes it easy to see if you are going in the right direction or need to shift course.

OK, so what is this magical engagement management tool that I am speaking of?

TWO WORDS: PEOPLE MAP

People Map: look it up, love it, USE IT, and spread the word. This thing is LIFE! I actually can’t take credit for coming across this bad boy on my own. That credit belongs to my friend Rosemary Watson over at rosemarywatsonproductions.com. She changed my life in more ways than one, and continues to do so on the daily. Just when you THINK you know what you are doing someone comes into your life that teaches you how to level up. We all use the hashtag #communityovercompetition, don’t we? Well it is real life and I owe that girl A LOT.

This is the most amazing social media management tool on the planet that is KILLER for helping you take your engagement game to the next level. Best part? It couples a social media analytics tool too!

Why do I love it and what does it do?

People Map has given me the opportunity to take my engagement ability to the next level. Instagram for the LONGEST time wouldn’t allow you to do any engagement whatsoever on your desktop. Everything had to be on your mobile device and it frankly blew my mind that nothing had come around that would make Instagram more desktop friendly. Thankfully, albeit 4 years after I got into the Instagram game, it has NOW happened.  I LOVE People Map because what used to take me three to four one-hour sessions per day to do now takes me a total of about 2 hours for the SAME amount of engagement. I mean think about it; I can type a whole lot faster than I can text.

So what does it do?

People Map offers you the ability to be logged into multiple Instagram accounts (I have too many I manage to count and I can be in ALL of them) and engage on everything. This includes all your followers and all your hashtags. Not only can you like pictures but you can ALSO comment on them, ALL in the same place! I had to write that in all caps because seriously it’s a game changer! (see images below)[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1519402170385{padding-top: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”15860″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”15861″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I wanted to give you guys a look into the INSIDE of what I see in People Map. The first picture is what my page looks like and has the “basic” analytics at the top. Any profile you search you can see the analytics on their pages which is hugely helpful when deciding whether or not to work with someone. The rough range of “good” is anywhere between 2-5% engagement rate. Seems low, but it is a VERY realistic percentage. My goal for March is to get that number closer to 4% and slowly grow from there.

The second picture is a snapshot of one of my posts and its hashtags. Below that you can see the comment box. Regardless of whose profile I’m looking at I see this same comment box and can like their post AND comment on it all in one shot. People Map also has a built in tool that tells you how many likes you have left within the hour and how many comments you have left to do within the hour. As you may know, you can’t over comment and like because Instagram will ban you temporarily. This is a great feature because it assures you that you are getting in the most engagement possible per sitting.

Next week I am going to share some more snapshots into the back ends of People Map and its functions. I’m talking all things analytics and engagement lists because these two things are SO important when working on stepping up your engagement game.  For now I encourage you to at least go look into it!
